49 Treatment of complaint if complaint dealt with as
commission-initiated consideration
(1) This section applies if the commission decides to consider a
complaint by commission-initiated consideration under
section 48 (2).
(2) The person who made the complaint stops being the complainant and
the commission becomes the complainant.
(3) However, the commission continues to have the same obligations
under section 45 (3) (i) in relation to the person as the commission
would have if the person were the complainant, but must not give the
person information about the aggrieved person or the respondent.
Note Under s 80 (3) the commission need not give the person a final report in
relation to the complaint.
