### sec.64 Reports by health service auditors
A health service auditor must prepare and provide a report to the appointer for each health service audit.
The report may include recommendations about—
ways in which the accuracy of performance data and other data provided by a Service or a specialised health service may be improved; or
ways in which the performance of a Service or a specialised health service may be improved; or
whether stated public sector health services should—
continue to be provided by a Service or a specialised health service; or
be transferred to a Service or other entity; or
be discontinued.
Subsection (4) applies to a report provided to the chief executive after a health service audit in a Service.
After considering the report, the chief executive may issue a direction to a Service.
The Service must comply with the direction.
Subsection (7) applies to a report provided—
to the chief executive after a health service audit in the department; or
to a health service chief executive after a health service audit in the Service.
After considering the report, the chief executive or health service chief executive may take the action he or she considers appropriate in relation to the matters identified in the report.
