### sec.257 How to apply for review
An application for review of a decision must be—
in the approved form; and
supported by enough information to enable the chief executive to decide the application.
The application must be made within 20 business days after—
the day the person is given the information notice about the decision; or
if the person is not given an information notice about the decision—the day the person otherwise becomes aware of the decision.
The chief executive may extend the period for applying for the review.
The application must not be dealt with by—
the person who made the decision; or
a person in a less senior office than the person who made the decision.
Subsection (4) —
applies despite the Acts Interpretation Act 1954 , section 27A ; and
does not apply to a decision made by the chief executive.
(sec.257-ssec.1) An application for review of a decision must be— in the approved form; and supported by enough information to enable the chief executive to decide the application.
