### sec.203 Appointment and qualifications
The chief executive may, by instrument in writing, appoint any of the following persons as an inspector—
a public service officer of the department;
a health service employee;
a person prescribed under a regulation.
However, the chief executive may appoint a person as an inspector only if the chief executive is satisfied the person is qualified for appointment because the person has the necessary expertise or experience.
(sec.203-ssec.1) The chief executive may, by instrument in writing, appoint any of the following persons as an inspector— a public service officer of the department; a health service employee; a person prescribed under a regulation.
