### sec.164 Appointment of security officers
A health service chief executive (the appointer ) may, in writing, appoint a person to be a security officer under this Act for health services land under the control of the Service.
However, the appointer may appoint a person as a security officer only if the appointer is satisfied the person is qualified for appointment because the person has the necessary expertise or experience.
