### sec.161B External service provider may access confidential information under authorisation
An external service provider that is the subject of an authorisation under section 161A , or a person engaged by the service provider, may access the information system under the authorisation.
For the purposes of the Information Privacy Act 2009 , chapter 2 , part 3 —
the external service provider is taken to be a bound contracted service provider; and
the agreement between the chief executive or a Service and the service provider is taken to be a service arrangement; and
the chief executive or the Service, as the case may be, is the contracting agency.

(sec.161B-ssec.1) An external service provider that is the subject of an authorisation under section 161A , or a person engaged by the service provider, may access the information system under the authorisation.
(sec.161B-ssec.2) For the purposes of the Information Privacy Act 2009 , chapter 2 , part 3 — the external service provider is taken to be a bound contracted service provider; and the agreement between the chief executive or a Service and the service provider is taken to be a service arrangement; and the chief executive or the Service, as the case may be, is the contracting agency.
