### sec.143 Disclosure required or permitted by law
A designated person may disclose confidential information if the disclosure is required or permitted by an Act or law.
Without limiting subsection (1) , the disclosure of the following confidential information is a disclosure permitted by an Act—
information provided to the chief executive by a Service under a service agreement;
information provided to the chief executive and other entities by a Service in compliance with a health service directive;
information provided under this Act by the chief executive to the Commonwealth or an entity established under an Act of the Commonwealth;
information provided to the administrator under part 3A , division 4 ;
information provided to a prescribed health professional by a designated person by giving the prescribed health professional access to a prescribed information system for the purposes of section 161C .
A prescribed health professional may disclose confidential information if the disclosure is required or permitted by an Act or law.

(sec.143-ssec.1) A designated person may disclose confidential information if the disclosure is required or permitted by an Act or law.
(sec.143-ssec.2) Without limiting subsection (1) , the disclosure of the following confidential information is a disclosure permitted by an Act— information provided to the chief executive by a Service under a service agreement; information provided to the chief executive and other entities by a Service in compliance with a health service directive; information provided under this Act by the chief executive to the Commonwealth or an entity established under an Act of the Commonwealth; information provided to the administrator under part 3A , division 4 ; information provided to a prescribed health professional by a designated person by giving the prescribed health professional access to a prescribed information system for the purposes of section 161C .
(sec.143-ssec.3) A prescribed health professional may disclose confidential information if the disclosure is required or permitted by an Act or law.
- (a) information provided to the chief executive by a Service under a service agreement;
- (b) information provided to the chief executive and other entities by a Service in compliance with a health service directive;
- (c) information provided under this Act by the chief executive to the Commonwealth or an entity established under an Act of the Commonwealth;
- (d) information provided to the administrator under part 3A , division 4 ;
- (e) information provided to a prescribed health professional by a designated person by giving the prescribed health professional access to a prescribed information system for the purposes of section 161C .
