### sec.745 Exercise of powers by Board between enactment and commencement
This section applies if—
under section 30 of Schedule 1, the Queensland Minister, on the unanimous recommendation of the responsible Ministers, appoints the members of the Board before section 663 commences; and
a provision of this Law conferring a function on the Board (a relevant provision ) has not commenced.
The members—
may meet and exercise the function under the relevant provision in the same way and subject to the same conditions that would apply if the relevant provision had commenced; and
in doing so, are entitled to be paid the remuneration and allowances to which the members are entitled under section 666 whether or not that section has commenced.
For the purposes of deciding the duration of the term of office of a member of the Board, the term does not start until section 663 commences despite the exercise of any function by the member under subsection (2).
The exercise of a function under a relevant provision does not confer a right, or impose a liability, on a person before the relevant provision commences.
This section does not limit section 30 of Schedule 1.
