### sec.61-oc.2 Regulator’s power to exempt category of heavy vehicles from compliance with heavy vehicle standard The Regulator may, by Commonwealth Gazette notice complying with section 65 , exempt, for a period of not more than 5 years, a category of heavy vehicles from the requirement to comply with a heavy vehicle standard. An exemption under subsection (1) is a vehicle standards exemption (notice) .
