### sec.576A Power to issue prohibition notice This section applies if an authorised officer reasonably believes that an activity involving a heavy vehicle— is occurring and involves, or will involve, an immediate or imminent serious risk to the health or safety of a person; or may occur and, if it occurs, will involve an immediate or imminent serious risk to the health or safety of a person. The authorised officer may give a person who has control over the activity a direction prohibiting the carrying on of the activity, or the carrying on of the activity in a specified way, until an authorised officer is satisfied that the matters that give or will give rise to the risk have been remedied.
