### sec.514 Direction not to move or interfere with heavy vehicle etc. to enable exercise of other powers
To enable an authorised officer to exercise a power under this Law, the officer may direct the driver of a heavy vehicle or any other person not to—
move the vehicle; or
interfere with the vehicle or any equipment in it; or
interfere with the vehicle’s load.
The direction may be given orally or in any other way, including, for example, by way of a sign or electronic or other signal.
A person given a direction under subsection (1) must comply with the direction, unless the person has a reasonable excuse.
Maximum penalty—$6000.
