### sec.479 Functions of authorised officers
An authorised officer has the following functions under this Law—
to monitor, investigate and enforce compliance with this Law;
to monitor or investigate whether an occasion has arisen for the exercise of powers under this Law;
to facilitate the exercise of powers under this Law.
Also, an authorised officer who is not a police officer has the function under this Law to provide advice, information and education to persons with duties or obligations under this Law about compliance with the duties or obligations.

(sec.479-ssec.1) An authorised officer has the following functions under this Law— to monitor, investigate and enforce compliance with this Law; to monitor or investigate whether an occasion has arisen for the exercise of powers under this Law; to facilitate the exercise of powers under this Law.
(sec.479-ssec.2) Also, an authorised officer who is not a police officer has the function under this Law to provide advice, information and education to persons with duties or obligations under this Law about compliance with the duties or obligations.
- (a) to monitor, investigate and enforce compliance with this Law;
- (b) to monitor or investigate whether an occasion has arisen for the exercise of powers under this Law;
- (c) to facilitate the exercise of powers under this Law.
