### sec.471 Operator must give notice of amendment, suspension or ending of heavy vehicle accreditation
This section applies if—
an operator of a heavy vehicle holds a heavy vehicle accreditation; and
the accreditation is amended or suspended, or the operator ceases to hold the accreditation.
The operator must as soon as practicable after the amendment, suspension or cessation happens give notice of the amendment, suspension or cessation to any driver of, or scheduler for, a heavy vehicle who may be affected by the amendment, suspension or cessation.
Maximum penalty—$6000.
If the driver of a heavy vehicle is given a notice under subsection (2) , the driver must, as soon as reasonably practicable, return to the operator any document relevant to the notice given to the driver by the operator for the purposes of section 468 (1) .
Maximum penalty—$4000.
