### sec.52-oc.2 Eligibility for general registration An individual is eligible for general registration in a health profession if— the individual is qualified for general registration in the health profession; and the individual has successfully completed— any period of supervised practice in the health profession required by an approved registration standard for the health profession; or any examination or assessment required by an approved registration standard for the health profession to assess the individual’s ability to competently and safely practise the profession; and the individual is a suitable person to hold general registration in the health profession; and the individual is not disqualified under this Law or a law of a co-regulatory jurisdiction from applying for registration, or being registered, in the health profession; and the individual meets any other requirements for registration stated in an approved registration standard for the health profession. Without limiting subsection (1) , the National Board established for the health profession may decide the individual is eligible for general registration in the profession by doing either or both of the following— imposing conditions on the registration under section 83 ; accepting an undertaking from the individual under section 83A . sch s 52 amd 2022 No. 22 s 60 (sec.52-oc.2-ssec.1) An individual is eligible for general registration in a health profession if— the individual is qualified for general registration in the health profession; and the individual has successfully completed— any period of supervised practice in the health profession required by an approved registration standard for the health profession; or any examination or assessment required by an approved registration standard for the health profession to assess the individual’s ability to competently and safely practise the profession; and the individual is a suitable person to hold general registration in the health profession; and the individual is not disqualified under this Law or a law of a co-regulatory jurisdiction from applying for registration, or being registered, in the health profession; and the individual meets any other requirements for registration stated in an approved registration standard for the health profession. (sec.52-oc.2-ssec.2) Without limiting subsection (1) , the National Board established for the health profession may decide the individual is eligible for general registration in the profession by doing either or both of the following— imposing conditions on the registration under section 83 ; accepting an undertaking from the individual under section 83A . - (a) the individual is qualified for general registration in the health profession; and - (b) the individual has successfully completed— (i) any period of supervised practice in the health profession required by an approved registration standard for the health profession; or (ii) any examination or assessment required by an approved registration standard for the health profession to assess the individual’s ability to competently and safely practise the profession; and - (i) any period of supervised practice in the health profession required by an approved registration standard for the health profession; or - (ii) any examination or assessment required by an approved registration standard for the health profession to assess the individual’s ability to competently and safely practise the profession; and - (c) the individual is a suitable person to hold general registration in the health profession; and - (d) the individual is not disqualified under this Law or a law of a co-regulatory jurisdiction from applying for registration, or being registered, in the health profession; and - (e) the individual meets any other requirements for registration stated in an approved registration standard for the health profession. - (i) any period of supervised practice in the health profession required by an approved registration standard for the health profession; or - (ii) any examination or assessment required by an approved registration standard for the health profession to assess the individual’s ability to competently and safely practise the profession; and - (a) imposing conditions on the registration under section 83 ; - (b) accepting an undertaking from the individual under section 83A .
