### sec.80ZR Interim orders
This section applies for a proceeding under this chapter if the tribunal is satisfied, on reasonable grounds—
there is an immediate risk of harm to the adult concerned in the proceeding or others; and
using a restrictive practice is the least restrictive way of ensuring the safety of the adult or others.
The tribunal may make an interim order in the proceeding without hearing and deciding the proceeding or otherwise complying with the requirements of this Act, including section 118 .
The interim order has effect for the period stated in the order.
The period stated in the order must not be more than 3 months.
In this section—
tribunal means the tribunal constituted by the president, a deputy president or a legal member.
