### sec.80C When tribunal may consent and effect of consent
On an application made under part 3 , the tribunal may, by order, consent to the sterilisation of a child with an impairment.
The tribunal may consent to the sterilisation only if the tribunal is satisfied the sterilisation is in the best interests of the child.
A child’s sterilisation, to which the tribunal has consented, is not unlawful.

(sec.80C-ssec.1) On an application made under part 3 , the tribunal may, by order, consent to the sterilisation of a child with an impairment.
(sec.80C-ssec.2) The tribunal may consent to the sterilisation only if the tribunal is satisfied the sterilisation is in the best interests of the child.
(sec.80C-ssec.3) A child’s sterilisation, to which the tribunal has consented, is not unlawful.
