### sec.259 Adult guardian assumes legal friend responsibilities If, immediately before the repeal of the repealed Act, the legal friend is authorised to act, or is acting, under section 26 of the repealed Act for a person— the adult guardian is taken to have been authorised to act for the person under section 26 of the repealed Act; and the repealed Act applies to the adult guardian as if references to the legal friend were references to the adult guardian and the repealed Act had not been repealed. The adult guardian’s authority under subsection (1) ends if the adult guardian receives a written request from the person’s administrator that the adult guardian no longer act under the authority.
