### sec.244A Access to record of proceedings
This section applies if—
the tribunal is considering making an appointment or reviewing the appointment of a guardian or an administrator for an adult; and
the adult has been a party to a civil proceeding in a court; and
the court has not made an order under section 245 .
The tribunal may request from the registrar of the court a copy of the part of the record of proceedings for the civil proceeding that is relevant to the tribunal’s consideration.
The registrar may, if the registrar considers the part of the record of proceedings is relevant to the tribunal’s consideration, comply with a request under subsection (2) .
A fee is not payable to the court for a copy of part of the record of proceedings under this section.
In this section—
court means the Supreme Court or the District Court.

(sec.244A-ssec.1) This section applies if— the tribunal is considering making an appointment or reviewing the appointment of a guardian or an administrator for an adult; and the adult has been a party to a civil proceeding in a court; and the court has not made an order under section 245 .
(sec.244A-ssec.2) The tribunal may request from the registrar of the court a copy of the part of the record of proceedings for the civil proceeding that is relevant to the tribunal’s consideration.
(sec.244A-ssec.3) The registrar may, if the registrar considers the part of the record of proceedings is relevant to the tribunal’s consideration, comply with a request under subsection (2) .
(sec.244A-ssec.4) A fee is not payable to the court for a copy of part of the record of proceedings under this section.
(sec.244A-ssec.5) In this section— court means the Supreme Court or the District Court.
- (a) the tribunal is considering making an appointment or reviewing the appointment of a guardian or an administrator for an adult; and
- (b) the adult has been a party to a civil proceeding in a court; and
- (c) the court has not made an order under section 245 .
