### sec.30 Chancellor There is a chancellor of the university. The council must elect a chancellor whenever there is a vacancy in the office. The person elected need not be a member. The person elected must not be a student or a member of the university’s academic staff or general staff. The chancellor holds office for the term, not longer than 5 years, fixed by the council. s 30 amd 2005 No. 18 s 40 (sec.30-ssec.1) There is a chancellor of the university.
