### sec.64 Purpose of potential geothermal commercial area
The purpose of the declaration of an area as a potential geothermal commercial area for a geothermal permit is to encourage longer-term development of the area for geothermal production.
The purpose is achieved by making special provisions about work programs and relinquishment for potential geothermal commercial areas.
