### sec.58 Steps after, and taking effect of, decision
If the Minister decides to approve the proposed program, the Minister must give the geothermal permit holder notice of the decision.
The approval takes effect when the holder is given the notice or, if the notice states a later day of effect, on the later day.
If the Minister decides to refuse to approve the later work program, the Minister must give the holder an information notice about the decision.
The refusal does not take effect until the end of the appeal period for the decision to refuse.
Subsection (4) applies subject to section 338 and any decision of the Land Court under section 340 relating to the decision to refuse.
