### sec.33 Minister’s power to decide restricted areas for geothermal tenures The Minister may declare that land in an area (a restricted area ) is land for which a geothermal tenure application can not be made. However, a declaration can not be made under subsection (1) for excluded land or land in an existing geothermal tenure’s area. The declaration must be made by gazette notice or by publishing a notice about the declaration.
