### sec.311 Recovery of costs of and compensation for exercise of remedial power
The State may recover from the responsible person as a debt any—
reasonable costs the State or an authorised person under section 305 incurs in exercising a remedial power; and
compensation payable by the State under section 309 for the exercise of the remedial power.
However, in any proceeding to recover the costs, any relevant net proceeds of sale mentioned in section 310 must be deducted from the amount claimed for the costs.
In this section—
relevant net proceeds of sale means the net proceeds of sale under which the thing sold was the property of the responsible person immediately before its removal under section 310 .
responsible person means the holder or former holder of the geothermal tenure about whom the remedial powers were exercised.
(sec.311-ssec.1) The State may recover from the responsible person as a debt any— reasonable costs the State or an authorised person under section 305 incurs in exercising a remedial power; and compensation payable by the State under section 309 for the exercise of the remedial power.
