### sec.16 References to large-scale geothermal production This section applies to a reference in this Act to large-scale geothermal production. In deciding whether geothermal production is or will not be of a large-scale, regard must be had to any criteria prescribed under a regulation. In making a regulation under subsection (2) , the following may be considered— the temperature of fluid or gases extracted in the geothermal production; the flow rate of fluid or gases extracted in the geothermal production; the amount of geothermal energy produced. In this section— geothermal production includes proposed geothermal production. (sec.16-ssec.1) This section applies to a reference in this Act to large-scale geothermal production. (sec.16-ssec.2) In deciding whether geothermal production is or will not be of a large-scale, regard must be had to any criteria prescribed under a regulation. (sec.16-ssec.3) In making a regulation under subsection (2) , the following may be considered— the temperature of fluid or gases extracted in the geothermal production; the flow rate of fluid or gases extracted in the geothermal production; the amount of geothermal energy produced.
