### sec.98 Immediate suspension of gaming machine licence
If the commissioner is of the opinion that any act, omission or other thing that constitutes a ground under section 97 (1) is of such a serious nature that the integrity of gaming or the conduct of gaming is jeopardised or the public interest is adversely affected, the commissioner may suspend the gaming machine licence.
If the commissioner suspends a gaming machine licence under subsection (1) , the commissioner must immediately give the licensee an information notice for the decision to suspend the licence.
The suspension of a gaming machine licence under this section takes effect from when the notice referred to in subsection (2) is given to the licensee or the suspension of the licence is made known to the licensee (whichever is the first to happen).
The suspension of a gaming machine licence under this section continues to have effect until the notice to show cause issued to the licensee under section 97 (2) is finally dealt with.
