### sec.355 Attempt to commit offence
A person must not attempt to commit an offence against this Act.
A person convicted of the offence of attempting to commit an offence against this Act is liable to the same penalty as an offender convicted of the offence itself unless the person proves that the person desisted of the person’s own initiative from the further prosecution of the person’s intention, without its fulfilment being prevented by circumstances independent of the person’s will, in which case the person is liable to one-half of the penalty to which the person would otherwise be liable.
A person may be convicted of attempting to commit an offence against this Act upon a complaint charging the person with that offence.
(sec.355-ssec.1) A person must not attempt to commit an offence against this Act.
(sec.355-ssec.2) A person convicted of the offence of attempting to commit an offence against this Act is liable to the same penalty as an offender convicted of the offence itself unless the person proves that the person desisted of the person’s own initiative from the further prosecution of the person’s intention, without its fulfilment being prevented by circumstances independent of the person’s will, in which case the person is liable to one-half of the penalty to which the person would otherwise be liable.
