### sec.230 Directions about advertising
If the commissioner reasonably believes an advertisement to which section 229 applies does not comply with that section, the commissioner may direct the person appearing to be responsible for authorising the advertisement to take appropriate steps—
to stop publication of the advertisement; or
to change the advertisement.
The direction must—
be in writing; and
state the grounds for the direction; and
for a direction to change the advertisement—state how the advertisement is to be changed.
A person to whom a direction is given must comply with the direction, unless the person has a reasonable excuse.
Maximum penalty for subsection (3) —200 penalty units.
