### sec.80 Authorised officer may restrict activities
An authorised officer may prohibit fossicking, camping or the use of fire on designated fossicking land or a fossicking area for a stated period by notice displayed on the land if the officer considers it necessary or desirable—
for safety or hygiene reasons; or
to allow land to be rehabilitated; or
to prevent inconvenience to anyone on the land.

A person must comply with a notice displayed under subsection (1) , unless the person has a reasonable excuse for not complying with it.
