### sec.69P Direction to leave camping site for protection, safety or minimising disturbance
This section applies if a forest officer reasonably believes it is necessary for a person camping in a State forest, timber reserve or licence area (the camp site ) to leave the camp site in order to—
protect or secure the health and safety of a person or a person’s property; or
minimise disturbance to people in the State forest or timber reserve; or
protect the forest products or waters of the State forest, timber reserve or licence area.
The officer may direct the person—
to leave the camp site; and
to remove all of the person’s property from the camp site; and
not to return to the camp site for a stated period of not more than 6 days.
A person given a direction under this section must, unless the person has a reasonable excuse, comply with the direction—
immediately after the direction is given; or
if the direction includes a time within which the person must comply, within that time.
Maximum penalty for subsection (3) —50 penalty units.
