### sec.61SI Registering a mortgage
In order to be registered, a mortgage must—
be validly executed; and
include a description sufficient to identify the plantation licence or plantation sublicence to be mortgaged; and
include a description of the debt or liability secured by the mortgage; and
otherwise comply with the requirements of this Act.
A notice to a registered mortgagee under this Act is sufficiently served if left at or sent to an address given for the registered mortgagee in the mortgage.
If a mortgagee is registered as a trustee, a document stating the details of the trust, or the document creating the trust, must be deposited with the mortgage, unless—
a document has already been produced for the trust under section 61ST (2) ; and
the details of the trust have not since changed.

(sec.61SI-ssec.1) In order to be registered, a mortgage must— be validly executed; and include a description sufficient to identify the plantation licence or plantation sublicence to be mortgaged; and include a description of the debt or liability secured by the mortgage; and otherwise comply with the requirements of this Act.

- (b) include a description sufficient to identify the plantation licence or plantation sublicence to be mortgaged; and
- (c) include a description of the debt or liability secured by the mortgage; and
- (d) otherwise comply with the requirements of this Act.
