### sec.61RA Cancellation of plantation licence for licence area or part
This section applies if, after considering the accepted representations for the show cause notice, the Minister—
still believes that the plantation licensee is contravening its obligations under section 61QE (1) ; and
believes cancellation of the plantation licence for the licence area or part of the licence area is warranted.
This section also applies if there are no accepted representations for the show cause notice.
The Minister may decide to cancel the plantation licence for the licence area or part.
If the Minister decides to cancel the plantation licence for the licence area or part, the Minister must advise the plantation licensee of the decision as soon as practicable after making it.
The Minister must lodge with the registrar of titles a cancellation of a plantation licence for the licence area or part.
See section 61RO (5) for when a sketch plan may also need to be lodged.
The registrar of titles must register the cancellation on the register.
To remove any doubt, it is declared that if the plantation licence for a licence area or part of a licence area is cancelled, the area or part stops being licence area.

(sec.61RA-ssec.1) This section applies if, after considering the accepted representations for the show cause notice, the Minister— still believes that the plantation licensee is contravening its obligations under section 61QE (1) ; and believes cancellation of the plantation licence for the licence area or part of the licence area is warranted.
(sec.61RA-ssec.2) This section also applies if there are no accepted representations for the show cause notice.
(sec.61RA-ssec.3) The Minister may decide to cancel the plantation licence for the licence area or part.
(sec.61RA-ssec.4) If the Minister decides to cancel the plantation licence for the licence area or part, the Minister must advise the plantation licensee of the decision as soon as practicable after making it.
(sec.61RA-ssec.5) The Minister must lodge with the registrar of titles a cancellation of a plantation licence for the licence area or part. See section 61RO (5) for when a sketch plan may also need to be lodged.
(sec.61RA-ssec.6) The registrar of titles must register the cancellation on the register.
(sec.61RA-ssec.7) To remove any doubt, it is declared that if the plantation licence for a licence area or part of a licence area is cancelled, the area or part stops being licence area.
- (a) still believes that the plantation licensee is contravening its obligations under section 61QE (1) ; and
- (b) believes cancellation of the plantation licence for the licence area or part of the licence area is warranted.
