### sec.61JA Forest consent agreements
The lessee of a lease (the existing lease ) that is to be converted under the Land Act 1994 to a freeholding lease or a deed of grant, and the chief executive for the State, may enter into an agreement that identifies an area that is the whole or part of the lease land for the existing lease as a forest consent area.
A forest consent agreement may provide for rights and obligations of any kind in relation to the use and management of, including access to, forest products on the forest consent area.
A forest consent agreement, when registered as a profit a prendre under 61JB(1), has effect as an agreement and as a profit a prendre—
even if there is no consideration for the agreement; and
even though forest products mentioned in the agreement remain the property of State.

(sec.61JA-ssec.3) A forest consent agreement, when registered as a profit a prendre under 61JB(1), has effect as an agreement and as a profit a prendre— even if there is no consideration for the agreement; and even though forest products mentioned in the agreement remain the property of State.
