### sec.52 Power to subsidise road works
The chief executive may from time to time authorise the subsidisation of any department of the government, any local government, or any person, to the extent the chief executive thinks fit in the construction, improvement, maintenance, operation, or protection of roads or other means of access necessary for the proper marketing of any forest products or for the management of any State forest or timber reserve.
Any such subsidy may take the form of a money grant or authority to get any forest products or quarry material as specified in such authority free of charge or at concessional rates or any combination of these.
