### sec.40B Amending conditions of permit
The chief executive may amend or omit a condition of a commercial activity permit, when the permit is renewed—
at the request of the permit holder; or
on the chief executive’s own initiative.
However, the chief executive may amend a condition, subject to section 40C (3) (b) , only if the chief executive reasonably considers the amendment is necessary—
to provide for the safety of people or property; or
to provide for the proper management of the area to which the permit relates; or
because the permit holder did not comply with a condition of the existing permit; or
to conserve or protect forest products or other cultural or natural resources of the area to which the permit relates.
