### sec.46 False or misleading documents
A person must not, under section 41 or 42 , give the Treasurer a document containing information the person knows is false or misleading in a material particular.
Maximum penalty—50 penalty units.
Subsection (1) does not apply to a person if the person, when giving the document—
advises the Treasurer, in writing, to the best of the person’s ability, how the information is false or misleading; and
gives the correct information if the person has, or can reasonably obtain, the correct information.
