#### 9B Advisory committees 9B Advisory committees > > (1) The Minister may appoint such advisory committees as the Minister considers appropriate for the purpose of advising the Secretary in relation to matters arising under section 9 (2). > > > (2) An advisory committee may include one or more employees. > > > (3) An advisory committee has such functions in relation to the provision of advice as the Minister directs. > > > (4) The Minister may, at any time, do the following— > > > > > (a) terminate the appointment of a person as a member of an advisory committee, > > > > > (b) dissolve an advisory committee. > > > (5) A member of an advisory committee— > > > > > (a) is entitled to receive such travelling expenses, and > > > > > (b) except in the case of an employee, is entitled to receive such fees for attending meetings and transacting business of the committee, > > > > as are fixed by the Minister. > > > (6) Subject to any directions of the Minister, the procedure of an advisory committee appointed under this section is to be determined by the advisory committee. > > **s 9B (previously s 9A):** Renumbered 2019 No 1, Sch 2.13.
