### sec.154 Application of s 132BA
Section 132BA applies in relation to a criminal proceeding only if the trial of the proceeding starts on or after the commencement.
For subsection (1), the trial of a criminal proceeding starts when, under the Jury Act 1995 , section 36, a jury panel attends before the court in which the trial is to be conducted.
Also, for subsection (1), it does not matter whether the offence the subject of the criminal proceeding was committed before, or is committed after, the commencement.

(sec.154-ssec.1) Section 132BA applies in relation to a criminal proceeding only if the trial of the proceeding starts on or after the commencement.
