### sec.103ZZF Engagement of person included on sexual offence expert evidence panel
A party to a relevant proceeding may engage a person who is included on the sexual offence expert evidence panel to give relevant evidence about the defendant in the proceeding.
Subsection (1) does not prevent a party to a relevant proceeding engaging an expert other than a person who is included on the sexual offence expert evidence panel to give relevant evidence about the defendant in the proceeding.
A person may be engaged under subsection (1) or (2) only if the person is not an excluded person.
For subsection (3) , a person is an excluded person if the person—
is a relative, friend or acquaintance of the defendant; or
is a party to the relevant proceeding; or
is a potential witness in the proceeding (to a matter in issue other than the provision of expert evidence under this division).

(sec.103ZZF-ssec.1) A party to a relevant proceeding may engage a person who is included on the sexual offence expert evidence panel to give relevant evidence about the defendant in the proceeding.
(sec.103ZZF-ssec.2) Subsection (1) does not prevent a party to a relevant proceeding engaging an expert other than a person who is included on the sexual offence expert evidence panel to give relevant evidence about the defendant in the proceeding.
(sec.103ZZF-ssec.3) A person may be engaged under subsection (1) or (2) only if the person is not an excluded person.
(sec.103ZZF-ssec.4) For subsection (3) , a person is an excluded person if the person— is a relative, friend or acquaintance of the defendant; or is a party to the relevant proceeding; or is a potential witness in the proceeding (to a matter in issue other than the provision of expert evidence under this division).
- (a) is a relative, friend or acquaintance of the defendant; or
- (b) is a party to the relevant proceeding; or
- (c) is a potential witness in the proceeding (to a matter in issue other than the provision of expert evidence under this division).
