### sec.103E Requirements for making recorded statements
A recorded statement must—
be taken by a police officer; and
be made with the complainant’s informed consent under section 103F ; and
include, at the end of the recorded statement, a declaration by the complainant that—
the recorded statement is true to the best of the complainant’s knowledge and belief; and
the complainant made the recorded statement knowing the complainant may be prosecuted for stating in the statement anything the complainant knows is false.
Also, if any part of a recorded statement is in a language other than English—
the recorded statement must contain an oral translation of the part into English; or
a separate written English translation of the part must accompany the statement.

- (a) be taken by a police officer; and
