### sec.681 Existing application for registration to carry out chapter 4 activity
This section applies for an application for registration to carry out a chapter 4 activity made, but not decided, under former chapter 4, part 2 before the commencement.
From the commencement, former chapter 4, part 2 continues to apply to the application as if the amending Act had not been enacted.
Subsection (4) applies if—
a registration certificate is given for the application; and
immediately before the commencement, a code of environmental compliance applied to the chapter 4 activity stated in the certificate.
The registration certificate is taken to be one to which section 680 applies.
If subsection (4) does not apply and a registration certificate is given for the application, the registration certificate is taken to be one to which section 677 applies.

(sec.681-ssec.1) This section applies for an application for registration to carry out a chapter 4 activity made, but not decided, under former chapter 4, part 2 before the commencement.
(sec.681-ssec.2) From the commencement, former chapter 4, part 2 continues to apply to the application as if the amending Act had not been enacted.
(sec.681-ssec.3) Subsection (4) applies if— a registration certificate is given for the application; and immediately before the commencement, a code of environmental compliance applied to the chapter 4 activity stated in the certificate.
(sec.681-ssec.4) The registration certificate is taken to be one to which section 680 applies.
(sec.681-ssec.5) If subsection (4) does not apply and a registration certificate is given for the application, the registration certificate is taken to be one to which section 677 applies.
- (a) a registration certificate is given for the application; and
- (b) immediately before the commencement, a code of environmental compliance applied to the chapter 4 activity stated in the certificate.
