### sec.67 Process is suspended
This section applies if the proponent—
does not comply with a requirement under the EIS process for an EIS; or
becomes entitled to take the next step under the process and has not taken the step.
The following are suspended until the requirement is complied with or the step is taken—
the EIS process for the EIS;
any obligations of the chief executive under this part for the EIS.
The proponent’s draft terms of reference or submitted EIS lapse on the later of the following days if the requirement has not been complied with or the step has not been taken—
the first anniversary of the suspension;
if the chief executive and the proponent have, before the first anniversary, agreed to a later day—the later day.
This section is subject to sections 47 and 68 .
