### sec.53 Declaration of compliance
The proponent must, within 10 business days after the EIS notice is published, give the chief executive a statutory declaration declaring—
whether or not the proponent has complied with the notice requirements under sections 51 and 52 ; and
the name and address of each person to whom the EIS notice was given under section 51 .
A copy of the EIS notice must be attached to the declaration.
The proponent is taken to have complied with the requirements if—
a declaration is given under this section; and
the declaration states the proponent has complied with the notice requirements.

- (a) whether or not the proponent has complied with the notice requirements under sections 51 and 52 ; and
- (b) the name and address of each person to whom the EIS notice was given under section 51 .
