### sec.478 Failure to comply with authorised person’s direction in emergency
A person to whom an emergency direction is given must—
comply with the direction (including a condition of the direction), unless the person has a reasonable excuse for not complying with it; and
take all precautions, so far as they are reasonably practicable, to prevent or minimise—
environmental harm being caused; and
the risk of death or injury to humans and animals; and
loss or damage to property.
Maximum penalty—
if the offence is committed wilfully—6,250 penalty units or 5 years imprisonment; or
otherwise—4,500 penalty units.
