### sec.449 Production of identity card An authorised person may exercise a power in relation to someone else only if the authorised person— first produces his or her identity card for the person’s inspection; or has his or her identity card displayed so that it is clearly visible to the person. If, for any reason, it is not practicable to comply with subsection (1) , the authorised person must produce the identity card for inspection by the person at the first reasonable opportunity. s 449 amd 2000 No. 5 s 461 sch 3 (as amd by 2000 No. 22 s 28 ) (sec.449-ssec.1) An authorised person may exercise a power in relation to someone else only if the authorised person— first produces his or her identity card for the person’s inspection; or has his or her identity card displayed so that it is clearly visible to the person.
