### sec.282 Decision on proposed action
If, after complying with section 281 , the administering authority still believes a ground exists to take the proposed action, it may—
suspend or extend the suspension of the environmental authority for no longer than the proposed suspension period or extended period of suspension; or
if the proposed action was to cancel the environmental authority—either cancel the environmental authority or suspend it for a fixed period.
The decision under subsection (1) is the proposed action decision .
If the administering authority at any time decides not to take the proposed action, it must promptly give the environmental authority holder written notice of the decision.
