### sec.276 Restriction on surrender taking effect if payment required for residual risks
This section applies if the applicant has, under section 271 , been required to pay an amount for residual risks of the area the subject of a surrender application.
Despite section 275 , a decision to approve the surrender does not take effect until the requirement has been complied with.
