### sec.274 Directions to carry out rehabilitation may be given if surrender refused This section applies if the administering authority decides to refuse a surrender application for an environmental authority for a resource activity. The administering authority may give the applicant a written direction (the rehabilitation direction ) to carry out further stated rehabilitation within a stated reasonable period. The direction must be given to the applicant with the notice of the refusal of the application required under section 275 (b) . The notice of refusal must also include an information notice about the decision to give the direction.
