### sec.201 Term of environmental authority
An environmental authority continues in force until the earlier of the following to happen—
if the environmental authority states it will lapse after a stated period—the end of the stated period;
the authority is cancelled, surrendered or suspended under this chapter.
To remove any doubt, it is declared that an environmental authority continues in force in relation to an ERA carried out on land identified by reference to a resource tenure even if the resource tenure expires or is cancelled.
