### sec.235 Unlawful taking of electricity
A person must not unlawfully take electricity.
Maximum penalty—1,000 penalty units or 6 months imprisonment.
If the day or days on which a person is alleged to have been committing an offence against subsection (1) can not be established, the person may—
be charged with 1 offence of unlawfully taking electricity over, or at some unknown time during, a stated period; and
be convicted and punished accordingly.
In a prosecution for an offence against this or another Act in which it is claimed electricity has been unlawfully taken, the electricity is taken to belong to any person through whose transmission grid, supply network or works the electricity was supplied.
