### sec.20R Regulation may exempt person or thing from Act
If the Governor in Council considers it necessary because of an emergency or other extraordinary circumstances, a regulation may—
exempt a person or thing from this Act or a provision of this Act; and
impose conditions on the exemption; and
provide that the exemption ceases or continues if a condition of the exemption is contravened.
The regulation expires 6 months after it commences, unless it is earlier repealed.
A person must not contravene a condition of an exemption applying to the person.
Maximum penalty for subsection (3) —50 penalty units.
